Liane Preston



Liane is a portfolio career pioneer - a Human Resources professional and psychotherapeutic counsellor. With 20+ years of business experience, in organisations and as an independent consultant, she is often described as insightful, dynamic, commercial, challenging and supportive.

With a passion for people, development and enabling individuals and organisations to realise their potential, Liane has a breadth of experience in HR including business partnering and the development of people strategies / plans in line with broader business strategy, coaching, facilitation, leadership and team development, culture change, talent management, organisational development and design, leading change, employee engagement, resourcing / recruitment and remuneration / pay review.

Liane's psychotherapeutic training has given her an insight into leadership, organisational culture and performance which is unique, and she tends to work holistically. She has a BA in Human Resource Management, a MSc in Training and Performance Management and a BSc in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and the UK Council for Psychotherapy. She is also qualified to use a range of psychometric tools and has recently completed her Level I training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy as a result of her growing interest in working with trauma.

Liane has an adventurous spirit and around eight years ago took a career break which she spent in Central America as Deputy Expedition Leader for Raleigh International, the youth development charity. She prepared, inspired and supported 34 volunteer staff to lead nine international development projects and create a meaningful learning experience for 120 participants, through one to one coaching and team facilitation. She sees life as an ongoing opportunity to develop and grow, and has recently moved back to her native Scotland having spent the past 17 years living and working in Norfolk, London and internationally.
